I have found the best fall headbands and I can’t wait to share them with you! One of my greatest joys lately has been rediscovering headbands as an adult. I was a big fan of a Blair Waldorf-inspired headband look in high school, and as soon as that fashion seemed to die out I thought headbands were in the past for me. Of course, I saw plenty of bloggers and gals on Instagram rocking them (how cute is Kate from Lonestar Southern?!), but I thought they were more of an insta-trend than anything else and wouldn’t be practical for everyday wear. And, to be fair, some of those pearl-embellished options can be a bit much.
I recently ordered a random set of headbands on Amazon to see if I could pull off the style, and oh my, I love the look! I tend to gravitate towards more classic, simple outfits, so I was a bit hesitant at first. However, I found that throwing on a headband can make a basic outfit look so much more put together and purposeful. The effect is similar to wearing earrings and a necklace with any outfit. It looks like you didn’t just throw on clothes and ran out the door, but instead actually thought about what you were going to wear that day.
If you want to try incorporating headbands into your wardrobe but don’t know where to start, my trick is to keep the rest of my outfit as classic and low key as possible – think, solid colors and classic cuts and necklines, nothing too crazy. If you’re extra nervous about it, go for a monochromatic look or start with a black, navy, or ivory headband to ease yourself into the trend.
I have found some of the cutest, best fall headbands. These would all look so cute with any fall look you decide to put together – the marigold! the leopard! the plaid! – and would be the perfect finishing touch. There’s something for everyone below! The classic black velvet (on sale now!) would be so cute for the holidays. I’m trying to decide if I want to buy both of the top row plaids or just one of them – but I think I need all of the rest of them…
Let me know which one is your favorite! Are you a headband fan already, or do I need to convert you?
